At the top of a long stone staircase stood a giant rock, marked with what people called the claws of a dragon.
I would stand with those ancient marks behind me and gaze into the distance.
Most days I stayed indoors, quietly drawing. But whenever I stepped outside, I always wanted to look beyond what was close—to see as far as my eyes could reach.
This is a fragment of one of my earliest memories.
